About Us
The Alexandrian Review’s mission is to advocate for and provide a space to amplify the voices of those in marginalized communities around the world– whether this be people of color, those of the LGBTQIA+ community, immigrants, disabled individuals, or other underrepresented groups. Our international literary magazine aims to receive and provide feedback on submissions from other high schoolers and youth around the world, and provide opportunities to publish young writers. We appreciate writing of any kind, specifically works relating to mental health, culture, and the struggles and beauty of being a part of marginalized communities, among other less discussed topics. Our goal is to amplify stories of those who have previously been silenced, or not been provided the space to publish their work and receive feedback from other young writers.
Providing Feedback
The Alexandrian Review has a multitude of talented and hardworking editors who devote time to provide unique and dedicated feedback, suggestions, and tips for improvement on every single submission we receive, regardless of whether or not the piece is accepted to be published. Our goal with this is to support young writers and help them flourish and continue to grow, as it is hard to find peers to edit and review work. This is a unique aspect of our magazine that we strive to preserve— as such, our windows in which we accept pieces are shortened and it can take a few months for us to contact you on whether or not you have been accepted and provide commentary on your pieces. Please trust that we are seeing all of your amazing submissions and working to get back to you! A big thank you to our editors who make this possible.
