Our team consists of all high school & college students! We all have experience in creative writing classes, writing workshops, editing in literary magazines, or have some other familiarity in the writing world.
Founder & Editor-In-Chief
Premrudee Mepremwattana
Premrudee (Premmy) Mepremwattana is a rising high school senior in Bangkok, Thailand, who spends summers in North Carolina, US. Having had work published in the Reynolds Young Writers Workshop’s anthology, and having been recognized by the Alliance for Young Writers and Artists, she serves as a Senior Editor for the Polyphony Lit, as well as edits for the Silver-tongued and Sonderful Literary Magazine. When not reading, writing, or getting too emotionally invested in fictional characters, she spends her time drinking too much bubble tea, playing the piano, and creating memories with friends and family.

Camila Rodriguez-O'Donnell
Camila Rodriguez-O’Donnell is a high school senior living in North Carolina. From a young age, she has always had a strong affinity for reading, and she began writing around the third grade, which she shared with friends who also wrote their own stories. Camila loves the writing community, and truly enjoys sharing her work, feedback, and ideas with peers! In sophomore year, she joined her first Creative Writing class, and published multiple works in her school's literary magazine. It is Camila’s hope to create that opportunity for other young writers as well!

Sophia Parmele
Sophia is currently working as an editor for the Alexandrian Review. She is from Minnesota, MN and has a passion for creative writing. She typically writes prose and poetry, but she has also written essays for various literary magazines. She loves the writing community and hopes to both contribute as a writer and assist others on their literature journey. Aside from working for the Alexandrian Review, she is also the founder and editor-in-chief for the Pre-Med Gazette, an editor for DICED literary magazine, a staff writer for Equinox literary magazine, and a blog writer for Darpan literary magazine. Her poetry has also been featured and awarded the Young Writers Journal Weekly Shortlist Prize. Besides writing, in her free time she enjoys reading, listening to music, and playing the violin.

Avery Liles
Avery is a high school senior in North Carolina and loves to write. She enjoys anything creative. She loves sharing and talking about stories with friends. One day she hopes to publish a novel. Creative writing has always been a part of her life and is one of her favorite things to do in free time. Avery has taken two creative writing classes in high school and hopes to take more in college.

Stan Mara
Stan Mara is a teenager who grew up thinking reality is boring and not accepting the fact that she would die in this dull universe, so she started creating her own magic world, full of mystery and unforgettable characters. Having shown interest for psychology and human emotions for years, she managed to combine the world building specific to fantasy worlds and the complexity of feelings, creating a genre called realistic fantasy (at least that's what she calls it). She hopes she will grow enough that one day she will be able to help other aspiring authors grow, but for now she focuses on editing other teenagers’ works, paying attention to each detail and offering according feedback, taking rocks from her mountain and giving them to those who seek guidance.

Sujana Dongol
Sujana Dongol is an 18-year-old who recently graduated from high school with my GCE A-levels. Writing has always been a huge part of her life, and she loves sharing the beauty of my Newari culture through her words. Her dream is to introduce the world to the rich traditions, values, and stories that make up Newari heritage. She also strongly believes that young writers deserve a platform where their talents can be recognized, and readers can easily find content that resonates with them. To help achieve this, she is working with Alexandrian Magazine to create a space for emerging voices. In my free time, she enjoys exploring astrology, finding patterns and meanings in the stars. She also loves baking as a creative and relaxing hobby. Music is a big part of her life too—Camila Cabello and BTS are her go-to artists for inspiration and fun.

Xandra Zubiri
Xandra Zubiri is an avid high school freshman writer born in Singapore, from the Philippines and raised in New Zealand. Xandra is a a social justice and human rights enthusiast with an appreciation for all things art and the complexities of STEM. She finds herself reading, writing or learning in her free time and found a passion for writing after encouragement from her Year 4 teacher to pursue her creativity. She has hopes to become a worthy advocate for people who don't have voices and have her work be a place of comfort for other readers.

Kendall Walker
Kendall is a highschool Senior living in Georgia whose love for writing is only matched by his love for reading. Having been published multiple times in his school literary magazine, and in his second year of creative writing class; it's safe to say he enjoy what he does. If you can't find him etching his soul into a poem, hunched over reading the lastest science fiction book, or relistening to Mitski's discography again; You can find him hanging out with friends, crying over animated characters, or staring af the clouds. Because Kendall likes to live his life how he writes vulnerable, messy, and full-of-love.

Lillian Liu
Lillian Liu is a New York based writer. Her favorite genres to read are satire and magical realism, and her favorite genre to write is poetry. She is the lead writer for the nonprofit Mindset Math, an alumni of the Kenyon Young Writers Workshop, and is forthcoming in the CSPS poetry review, the Skipping Stones Magazine, and the Arrowhead Review. She gains inspiration from the luminous details scattered in her muddled stream of consciousness. Outside of writing she enjoys playing tennis, learning new juggling tricks, crocheting genetically modified hybrid squirrels, and listening to her ride or die Spotify playlist entitled "My Playlist #1".

Emma Wong
Emma Wong is a Cantonese-American high school writer based in the Bay Area, California. She is fascinated with the inner workings of poetry and likens the process of reading literature to diving — a journey in which every line hides gems. Emma's writing has been recognized by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, and she has attended various creative intensives, including the Kenyon Young Writer's Workshop and the University of Iowa's Between the Lines program. Anchoring her words to the Asian-American experience, Emma's writing attempts to illustrate the nuances of "home" and investigate what it means to be lost (and found). Her favorite part about writing is the warmth fostered in the sharing of words. When not writing, Emma enjoys running cross-country, cooking, and spending time with her two orange cats, Mochi and Olive. Rhea Dhar is a high school student who enjoys reading obsessively, skateboarding, rollerblading, and writing in every moment in between, whether it be formally preserved on a document, scribbled on a crumpled napkin, or inked faintly with a ballpoint pen along her forearm. She is the co-author of the middle grade fantasy Element Island: Secrets and Smoke.

Akshita Gossain
Akshita Gossain is a high school junior who is an ardent reader and writer. She is part of the Editorial team at six literary magazines, including DICED, The Garden Literary and The Alexandrian Review and her poetry and prose have been published as well. Whether it be poetry, prose or calligraphy, she loves to express herself using the power and beauty of words. She is extremely passionate about history and English literature and has developed an interest in Classical Studies. The Secret History by Donna Tartt has a special place in her heart, and she hopes to be a published author one day!

Evan Violets
Evan Violets is a writer & editor from Singapore. A self taught creative, Evan has put out several stand-out poems including “our pretend implodes”, which earned him a nomination for the Pushcart Prize in 2022. Evan is the author of the poetry collection “We paint this turbulence in hues”. Evan also holds active editorial positions at several international literary magazines including: Kaleido Zine, Care Canvas Collective, Mélange Magazine, Chromatic Scars Review, Diced Magazine, The Hiraeth Review, Epistemic Nexus Review and more!

May Lin (she/her) is a sophomore from California who dabbles in the meadows of writing. Her poetry has appeared in The WEIGHT Journal and the Incandescent Review. She is a firm believer of living to the greatest extent, which led her to become an editor for the Alexandrian Review and a blog writer for the Elysian Chronicles. She considers herself a jack of all trades (but a master of none) and you might find her tinkering in the fields of crafting, cooking, web design, and more!

Zoya truly resonates with the essence of her name's meaning, ‘life’, and takes each new day with a spring in her feet and enthusiasm in her actions. A zealous reader and writer from a young age, she appreciates raw poetry and has made music her muse for over a decade. A bed-rotting, ex-overachieving tortured poet who will definitely pull off a “dearest gentle reader” comeback one day, she contributes her verses to the powerful play of the universe.

Heeseo Yoon is a high school student from New Jersey. As a creative writer and student journalist, she loves to explore and spread stories that impact others. As the Creative Non-Fiction Editor, she is excited to explore this interest further and help writers from all across the world have their voices heard. August Jenkins
August Jenkins is a high schooler who grew up in Arizona and is currently living in middle Tennessee. In their writing, they often explore topics such as social alienation, body horror, coming-of-age, religious mythology, and illicit solace in ways influenced by their experiences of genderqueer and neurodivergent identity. Some of August’s biggest stylistic inspirations include Mariana Enriquez, Iain Reid, Ocean Vuong, and Eva H.D.. They are deeply passionate about activism, politics, and all forms of art. Eventually, August hopes to work in a creative field (whether it be writing, visual art, or making music) as well as earn a degree in environmental studies. Currently, August enjoys their free time writing, drawing, powerlifting, listening to books, and learning Italian. Their work has previously been published in the spring edition of the Alexandrian Review.

Shannon
Shannon is a Year 3 (Freshman) student studying History and Literature in Singapore. She has a soft spot for queer poetry and fantastical prose, particularly for fantastical, queer tragedies. Truth be told, she has a soft spot for anything queer and creative. She lives by the motto of "if what you want doesn't exist, create it”, which has become the primary motivation for any and all of her creative endeavours. In 2023, she dipped her toe into the worldwide writing community as a Community Ambassador of Write The World, allowing her to appreciate the support within the community and aspire to return the favour. Her literary guilty pleasures include tropes of immortality, Godhood and mutually tragic love.

Siqing Chen
Siqing is a high school senior from New York who occasionally throws up little pieces of writing, and, by extension, of herself. Ever since she moved to the U.S. at four, she has been reading for the escape that prose brings to a mundane afternoon. She loves rearranging words on a page until they read off the tongue just right, writing in hopes that one day her work can be more than just a favorite pastime. On an ordinary weekend she can be found window shopping online, blaring music into her eardrums, sipping milk tea with friends, or concocting self-indulgent stories with a sweet snack in hand. On others, she is single-handedly overthrowing a royal court or walking the lonely halls of a Victorian manor, as far as anyone's concerned.

Matilda Prado
Matilda was born in central Chile but currently lives in Austin, Texas. She has a lifelong passion for reading, writing, and anything literature-related. In the past years, Matilda has built on that passion by joining her school’s newspaper and literary criticism team, as well as serving in staff writer and editor roles in literary magazines such as Girlhood Magazine, Youth Reverie, and The White Rose Muses. As an adult, she aspires to become a published author or college professor, inspiring others to share their creativity through words. She also dreams of traveling the world, meeting new people, and learning as many languages as she can. Matilda is currently fluent in English and Spanish and is learning her third language, French! When not getting invested in a new book, writing, or focusing too much on her academics, Matilda loves drawing, crocheting, going to concerts, and spending time with her loved ones.

Jade Estella
Jade Estella is a high school senior who lives in New York City. While committed to pursuing a
career in healthcare, her identity is interwoven with her creativity, and all the forms she expresses it in.
As a student at her school’s art academy, she studies classical visual art, braiding in surrealist elements into her own pieces as she sees fit. Even so, she’s an avid filmmaker, with one film she wrote, co-directed, and starred in winning silver for horror at the New York Alliance Film Festival. With a keen love for Ghibli films, Richard Siken’s poetry, and outfits with pearls and lace, Jade is enamored by creating quaint and sentimental stories that reflect the bittersweetness of everyday life. When she isn’t writing her novel or working on an oil painting, she can be found reading Murakami, drinking chamomile tea, or sneaking off to play guitar in her school’s bandroom.

Catherine
Catherine is a high schooler passionate about writing and creative arts. Her childhood consisted of designs and sketches of princesses and big, flowing dresses; her later youth was filled with literature and books. With a young fascination for these arts, she delved into them when she grew older. YouTube recommendations were filled with art techniques, philosophy analytics, painting deciphering... Catherine was completely in love with the arts. This magazine has become an important part of her journey since it’s the first youth magazine she’s joined, and she’s so glad to have joined. She hopes her time as an editor not only introduces her to new friends but also to explore different topics and the psychology behind each artist.

She is also a researcher at Astrastem journal. She has a passion for exploring the darker aspects of human experience through poetry, often weaving in elements of mythology and the macabre.

Ione is a 15 year old girl; she’s a junior in New York City. She loves to write poetry and wants to share her passion through it. This allows her to be open to growth and learn from previous experiences. She's always willing to be flexible, reliable, and have time management skills. Isra Khan is an 11th grader living in the Chicago area. She's had a deep passion for reading for almost as long as she can remember and has recently begun writing a bit. Her all time favorite series is Percy Jackson (she's read it 8 times) but she also loves just about any fantasy/science fiction book. She began to get into graphic design when she took it as an elective in her first year in high school, and it quickly became a new passion for her. She also loves baking and playing tennis!
